Special Hawaii Post!

Updating some stuff about the hawaii trip I'm going to with about 90 other foreign exchange students from YFU! :) We're leaving Febuary 24 and going home Marsh 3.

I made a to do list just for fun, this is some stuff i want to do, besides what the Schedual says, I want to; Surf, collect sand from the beach, get a sun tattoo, Buy a hula hula dancer lamp, take pictures of... everything haha, buy a classic hawaii shirt with flowers, take shells from the the beach, and collect something from the ocean when we are snorkeling :) That's all i got now but I will come up with some other stuff! :) WOW you have no idea, I'm sooooooooooooo super excited! :D

This is the Schedual we have!! Im SOOOO excited! :D And we're going to do awesome stuff every day! :) Look for yourselves ;)

Day 1 Arrivals. Students are met at the airport baggage claim area and transferred to the hotel for check in. Its then time for your orientation walking tour, and some free time before our welcome diner.

Day 2 We begin our tour with a drive around the entire island of Oahu. We will view the only royal palace in the United States, visit various neighborhoods and learn about the history of the state. Traveling inland, we drive though the, pineapples fields on the way to the North Shore. Our first North Shore stop is Haleiwa, an old surf town. We view the massive surf waves at Pipeline Sunset and Bonzai Beaches, and swim with the tropical fish on in Turtle Bay, where we play volleyball and have a picnic lunch. We finish the tour in the afternoon with visit to Pali Look out for views over the island. Then it’s back to the hotel to clean up before dinner.

Day 3 we visit Pearl Harbor for a tour of the U.S.S. Arizona National Monument, where we will learn about Hawaii's involvement in WWII then hit the beach right in front of our hotel. We will have time to play in the surf and try boogie boarding, or hang out at the hotel pool, or enjoy a soccer game and the park.

Day 4 We will head out to for a morning of snorkeling. We provide a rented snorkel and mask to swim with the colorful reef fish in a protected cove. This afternoon it’s off to Ala Moana shopping center for a shopping stop, and dinner at Bubba Gump Shrimp Company.

Day 5 We will board a Catamaran for an exciting sailing trip around Waikiki Bay. In the afternoon we go swimming in the ocean and playing volleyball. The adventurous can try their hand at surfing with a rental board not included in tour) and dazzle the group with their surfing abilities!

Day 6 We hike up Diamond Head, an extinct volcanic crater with awesome views over Waikiki bay. In the late afternoon we will celebrate with the locals at the Paradise Cove Luau, complete with grass skirts and hula dancing.

Day 7. We’ll explore some other parts of the island learning about some of the cultures that have contributed to Hawaiian food and culture. Tonight is our big farewell party.

Day 8. Students leave through the day, some students leaving early in the morning, and others not departing until the evening. We will take you to the airport 2-3 hours before your flight time. After breakfast it’s time for your last shopping trip, and a final wave goodbye to the warm Pacific waters.

I'm so excited!! Can't wait!!!!!!!!! :D

Winter Formal Dance :D

Went to the Springville Winter formal Dance yesterday and it was freaking awesome!!!! :D

My date was a Danish girl that's an exchange student at a school not far from mine, Marion High School :) She was a pretty awesome date! :) We went to eat at Ruby Tuesday with the Winter formal group we were in, we were about 15 people in it, and the food there was amazing!!! I had pasta with chicken and parmesan :) Then we went to the mall for a little while just to make the time go by before the dance. Then we went to the dance and it was like no one doing anything when we got there, so the people in our group just went out and started dancing haha! It was really fun! I always say, If you want to have fun just have fun! Its up to you wether you want to have fun! :) And I had lots of it :) I was like dancing like crazy for 3 hours streak hahahah! Gotta say, it was SWETTY! lol. But still very awesome!!! Then Ida and I went to a friends house with some people, we were just chilling! Watching The hangover hahah awesome movie! :) So to summon it all up... I HAD A BLAST!!!! :D :D :D :D haha






So I've started to play more guitar the last 2 weeks, try to play at least 30 minutes a day! And I'm getting better! I've learned a song too. haha its really easy but very good for beginners, its "No More Walks in The Woods" by The Eagles! Its kinda boring song but it's awesome to just play songs :) Its only 4 chords in it, Em, Am, C and G :) But its very good for learning :)

Finals this week and it sucks! I have tests in every class, some is very easy but some is pretty hard! But its alright! :)

Good times ;)

Went to Noel's house after the game yesterday! A game that we won btw ;) It was pretty awesome! JV lost though... So we were about 10 people there just chilling and talking about life and religious stuff! It was pretty cool, i mean i'm agnostic so i dont know really but i'm not a strong believer in God but it was cool to hear what other people think so that was pretty awesome! I love that crowd of people! :) We talked a lot abot the soul and what everyone thought about that! P-ray and i stayed the night there with Noel and his brother it was pretty awesome! :) Then we went to the school to play our bball games! We won the JV game today but we lost the Varsity game... :( I got in at like 1 and a 1/2 minute left and i was so close to score but i missed my lay up!!!.... That sucked but oh well it was sweet to just get in and play!

haha and I wanted to play some Swedish Hip Hop in Swedish when we came out the gym to warm up just before the game. Because we always play music but they played the old cd they had. But I will get them to play my CD next time haha ;)

Asked a girl for the Winter Formal Dance today! Its my Danish friend Ida! I met her through My organization YFU, on a sleepover/meeting. That will be awesome because she is pretty awesome! And then i asked her if she have a friend that wanted to be Noel's date so we are kinda going on a double date! ;) haha it will be sweet! So me and Noel are going shopping tmrw ;)

Yfu meeting/sleepover!

Had a basketball game yesterday against our rivals Central City wildcats... what fags haha. We won both The Jv game and the Varsity game and I scored 4 points in the JV game! :) it was awesome! I have scored 10 points total!

We had a meeting/sleepover with my exchange student orginazation YFU. It was awesome and i had a lot of fun! I came there 3 hours lat though because of the game but i didn't matter! Met a lot of new people and found out that one of the girls that was there is going to the Hawaii trip and we are actually on the same airplane together!!!! Her name is Ida and she is pretty awesome! So it will be way fun flying with her instead of flying alone! :)

We left the house at noon today and after that my family and I went to the mall in Iowa city way better mall than the one we have here in Cedar Rapids! :) I bought 3 sweatshirts, 1 cardigan and 1 button up shirt! I really loved the mall and the clothes i got :D i got it all for about 90 dollars :)

School tmrw and 1 hour drive to the game... that's going to suck!!! Oh well guess it will be fine! haha ttyl! <3

Sleadding/Snowboarding :)

Went sleadding and snowboarding today after school because we didn't have had an 2 hour early out! So Noel and Elias Nissen went to their house and Sledded not far from the house haha it was awesome! We like went down the hill and over the small river that was covered with like 5 inch of ice! ;) When we went back we walked on the ice that leads back to the house. And me and Elias walked through the ice at a thin spot haha. It wasn't deep at all just to our knees but it was kinda fun though... BUT REALLY COLD!

Holiday!

27th of December; Me and Kyle went Snowboarding in Michigan, it was pretty awesome!


28th of December; All of us went to Lake Michigan and then we went to a restaurant that had huge burgers haha 1 pound of meat!



29th of December; Going back home to Iowa after a really good and busy time in Michigan.

30th of December; I hung out with my friends Noel, we went to the mall and ate some food. I found a pair of corderoy pants that was on 75 % sale! And it was the last pair and it was in my size, I call that Lucky! :)

31th of December; HAPPY NEW YEARS EVE!! New Years Eve and Kyle's Birthday so we had a Party at our house it was pretty awesome! :) We went on a Bday dinner with the family at Chilis, they had some good food! And then we got home and Kyle opened his presents, I bought him an Ipod case for his Ipod touch. And then we had the party it was like a really good party and i had A LOT of fun! "water" pong and played a card game called circle of death it was fun! Awesome people their so we just hung out and had fun!

1th of January; First day of the year and I didn't do i damn thing haha just chilled at home watching movies and playing videogames! Its been a good day! Woke up at like 2 pm haha!
