Dana's, Chill at Lang's, Avatar, Guitar!

After school yesterday i went to Dana's house for a while to hang out with him and Nathaniel, I haven't hung out with them in a while and i have missed it! I always have so much fun hanging out with those two! haha :P We founf out that Dana is SUPER tickle, so I hold dana and Nathaniel tickled him! Haha He about died!! It was pretty awesome! :)

An hour later I was at a friends house, Sammy Lang, just hanging out with Sammy, Noel, Alec, Hope, P-ray, Maggie and Ilia! It was fantastic we had so much fun! :) We did a lot of stuff, Playing Texas Hold Em, Ping Pong, Pool, Watching a movie, Playing guitar, Singing Karaoke and just chilling and talking! It was pretty awesome! The best thing was probably P-ray rapping Karaoke or Ilia singing, (it was not so beautiful) lol but it's all good or Noel jamming on the piano and P-ray and I just singing lyrics we made up in our heads haha it was sweet!! I don't know what was the best part... the whole night was awesome!

Didn't do a whole that much today, played Bioshock 2 (awesome game and really recommend it!!) :) Playing guitar and learned "Time of your life" With green day and I know it pretty well, I can't sing with it yet though that is really hard because i start to strum with the beat of my voice instead of the strumming pattern! lol! IT's pretty awesome though and I'm super excited that i know the song! :D
Then I went to Avatar for the second time!! Went with Spencer, his brother, Gentry, her brother, Studt and Jared! Love that movie it's fucking awesome! :D And it just got better after the second time! I will probably see it once or twice more just because it's so awesome! Just love the story line and the 3D makes it even better!! :)
Went to buffalo wild wings after the movie with George and Kyle! :) It was SOOO GOOD! :D

Gonna play some guitar now and hang out with my bro! ttyl!! And btw... ONLY 4 FUCKING DAYS UNTIL I GO TO HAWAII!!!!!!!!!!!! I'M EXCITED!

40 days only water!

We are some people in school that are doing a thing called 40 days only water or something!

What we're doing is to drink nothing but water for 40 days and the people that we save by not buying pop, coffee and other drinks we give to charity! For you who read, just jump on the train if you feel like making a difference!

The first day i tried it was a mess! No coffee and no pop = no caffin at all what so ever and I was super tired!! lol! The next day I made an exception, I can drink coffee in the morning that George has payed for. I needed something to get me going, after a couple of days with no pop i'm fine and i don't need it anymore!

I think this is a great idea and its only like you give money away but you actually do something, you make a sacrifice for their sake, it's a very small one but it means that you are willing to take act! And for you who read this blog i really hope that you start doing it as well! :) <3

Chicago day 3, Hancock tower! :)

February 14, Valentines day and the last day in Chicago and wrapping up the trip by going up to Hancock tower!

The day started out at the hotel on the 30th floor. Kyle and I decided to get a workout and take a swim in the spa department... And i gotta say, it felt GOOOD!

Then when we got back to our room we got welcomed by George and she gave us our Valentines gifts :) It tasted SOOO awesome!! Especially the one with berries!!! ;)


Then we went shopping for a while and we started out at the huge mall close to us called the water tower place! And I bought some more stuff for my trip to Hawaii that is in 9 days btw :) I'm super excited!!!! I bought a pair of flip flops and a shirt, they are all on the picture in the bottom of the blogpost! Then we went to H&M again and Kyle found these green chinos that he thought was awesome! He wanted them so he tried them, I tried them on just for fun! ;) And after trying them on he wanted them so he bought them! I didn't though ;)


We also went to two of my favorite stores in Sweden! American Apperal and Urban Outfitters! Everything was very expensive in American Apperal so I didn't buy anything there so I went in to Urban Outfitters, it was the store next to American. And I found A LOT of cool stuff there and it was pretty cheep! :) So I bought a Awesome "casual dress shirt" ;), a awesome cardigan and a really green and awesome scarf ;) haha! :) I also bought a Valentines gift for Georgeanne, a four clover, that is suppose to give good luck. I picked it because she is from Ireland hehe :) These are the stuff I bought the final day of shopping ;) And once again I did pretty good ;)


Then we went to a French restaurant to eat some food and my food was pretty awesome! Can't remember what it was called but it was really good and George had some sort of Chicken, Cheese crapes (thin pancakes) it was AMAZING! They had this wall where they put up some of the days headlines!


Hahahahah then when we were just going to go up in the second tallest building in Chicago, Hancock Tower we saw the Blues brothers hahah! It was pretty awesome, they played the same music, wore the same clothes, and I don't know if they drive that kind of car but they had a sticker with the real ones on the side of the car, and they pretty much looked exactly like them! hahah it was awesome! :)


I saw this awesome globe of the world with footprints over it and I though it was kind of funny seing small Sweden there! ;)


So we bought the tickets and started walking up the tower! It have about 100 floors!!! Lol i'm just kidding! We went up the SUPER fast elevator, it is actually the fastest Elevator in the whole US ;) They said that it traveled all the way up in 40.0 seconds in 20.0 m/s but i felt like we were just traveling for a couple of seconds! ;) it was pretty awesome!
The first thing we saw when we got up there was the blue sky and as you start walking amazed you start to see the Lake Michigan, then the shadows of the towers and the when you stood just an inch from the window you could see everything else and it was one of the most amazing views i have EVER seen! It was soo beautiful!

I have never ever ever been in a skyskraper or ever seen one! The highest building i've been in is the Eifeltower! It was pretty sweet too but idk if it counts as a skyskraper even though it is as tall as one! And I was only on the second level soo, this was way more exciting!! :)
You could pretty much see the whole city and it was soooooooooo amazing!! :) These are another view! It shows downtown Chicago! COOL ha?!

And a picture of Kyle and I with the beautiful shoreline in the background! Kyle wasn't as excited as I was going up in the tower, i mean he has seen a lot of skyscrapers! Even though he was pretty excited! ;)

They had some souvenir stuff up there and one of them was this wooden platform with chicago as a poster background! hahahahahaha! This was so much fun and all the people watching us laughed! haha ;) And one of them approached George and asked her if Kyle and I were brothers :) hahah! ;) I mean we sertanly act like it haha :)


And by that picture i'm wrapping up the Chicago trip! ;) I had a BLAST but i only wish that I could've stayed longer and done some more seightseeing but I guess we'll have to do that next time.. that means March 12 when i go see Muse!!!!!!! :D :D :D AWESOME!
Anyway I had A GREAT weekend and I love Chicago soo much and cant wait for the next time! But before that I have Hawaii too look forward too and that is going to be even more fun!!!!

Chicago day 2! Shopping :D

Day 2 in Chicago and I just love it more and more! :) It kinda makes me miss Stockholm and living in the big city, even though i love living in Iowa!!

Went up about at 9 A:M., to shower and eat breakfast! Then left the hotel to start some serious shopping! :D Our hotel is just beside the second tallest building in Chicago and I gotta say... ITS SO FUCKING BIG!!!!!! Started out in a BIG shoppingmall and i bought a pair of swimmingpants!

And we went to Kyle's favorite store Hollister where i bought the swimmingpants! :) Haha and when I was waiting for kyle to pay for his swimmingpants I got a little bored and saw this doll with the clothes and well take a look for youself ;) hahah i though it was pretty freaking funny! XD haha!

Then we went to H&M and it was awesome and I loved it hahah! I bought clothes for about 90 dollars just in there and for all that money I got, a pair of corderoys, a t-shirt, a tanktop, 5 awesome underwear (one american style and one Star wars style! ;)), a cardigan, a scarf and 4 colored socks! You just got to love H&M and it's swedish too so I love it even more ;) hahah!

Then we went to grab something to eat so we went to the foodplace at the water tower place! They had so much food to choose from but i felt like Chinease! They had a special meal called Kung Pao and I didn't know but apparently.. It's REALLY spicey! I didn't eat it all because it felt like I had a huge fire in my mouth!! haha but otherwise, it was pretty awesome! :)

Then we started to walk on the michigan Ave. The street that goes through Downtown! = the biggest Street! It was just cool walking and watching all the tall buildings and seeing all that many people hahahah! I'm not used to that in Iowa haha! Even though i experience that every day i Stockholm but Iv'e gotten a little bit transformed to a country person! lol but just a little! ;)

So I have a friend I Chicago called theres, a girl that i met on the plane going to America so she is swedish too! :) She came with two of her friends! Theres lives just outside of town in the subburb. It was pretty awesome and it was awesome to meet her again cause she is funny and just cool! :) We just talked for like 15 minutes because we had to go to eat dinner with all the Cassidy relatives! I wish Therese and i couldev'e hung out a little longer because it was fun to just tlak and hang out! They asked me if i wanted to go and eat with them but as I said I was going to the relatives house! I forgot to take pictures of her but I'll put up a pivture of her that i took on the plane to US.

It was so much fun and they had a ping pong table so we played a lot of that! The dad in the family was superfun and he was like a guy in Kyle's and my age! He was awesome!!! And the food was sooooooo gooooooood! We had ribbs! :D I LOVE RIBBS! XD

So this is all the clothes I bought today hahah I think I did pretty well ;)

I got the, pants, blue shirt, turques shirt, tanktop, scarf, hat, underwear and socks all at H&M. I got the swimmingpants at Hollister and the pink grey shirt at French Connection! Love that store!!! :D :D EEEEEEK! :D lol!
And these are the awesome underwear i got! ;) This is the American style ones! And btw my bed has awesome bounce in it so I can jump awesomely high! hahah!

But I gotta say that I love these underwear more! :) It looks like Luke Skywalker is fireing his lazergun through my penis hahah!

That is all for today! Tmrw is the last day and we will do some more shopping but we will also to some "sightseeing" and go up in the tallest building in Chicago, Sears tower! :) I'm so excited its going to be awesome! :) So i'll put a update for all that tomorrow too! :) So g'night from Daniel In Chicago! :D

Chicago Day 1

So now I'm in chicago and i'm super excited!!!! I'm here with George and Kyle and George's brother and sister :) I will keep like a Chicago diary and update a blogpost every day!

After about a 4 hour drive we arrive to Chicago and gets welcommed by rush hour so we spent about an hour there untill we got to Downtown Chicago! And I gotta say I love it! I have never seen skyskrapes so seeing these HUGE buildings was pretty awesome! :) This is a picture from the car of the tallest building in Chicago, Sears Tower. I'm so excited to be here and I'm going to have an awesome time!!!!!

When we got here we went to check out the swimmingpool and the weight lifting room. Kyle and I decided to do some work out so we did.

After taking a shower we went down to George's syblings that we will spend our time with while we are in Chicago :) We just talked to them for a little bit then we went to a Resuarant to eat some awesome food!!

The resuarant was amazing and it was like people that had been drawing all over the place, they encouraged you to bring a marker and write on the wall! It just looks so cool when its all over the whole place! :)

....so I tried it too ;)

I think Kyle and I look VERY much alike on this picture! I mean we are already brothers but it looks like we are biological brothers! :) I like it! XD

And Kyle and Georgeanne! :) Aren't they cute haa? :) hahahah!

So that's it for today didn't have that much time to do anything but I will have a lot of stuff to talk about tmrw! Can't wait for tmrw its going to be AWESOME!! :D G'night everybody! :)

Iowa student Global Leadership Conference 2010!

Friday 5th I went to Iowa Student Global Leadership Conference 2010! We spent the night at an awesome hotel that had a pool ;)

I met so many awesome people and it was one of the best weekends in my life!!!
There is so much to say that i don't know what to say! When we first got there we got separated in countries, i sat with the Swedish, South Korean and Chines people! :) We we're 3 people from Sweden and I knew one of them before but I didnt know that she was coming! So that was pretty awesome! Then every table got a subject they were going to act out! We got terrorism and I came up with this awesome idea :) take a look! haha! it was soooo funny to act out!

There was this Norwegian guy that i like really connected with, his name was Kristian and he was pretty awesome! It was like I had known him for years so that was pretty awesome! We have been talking about hanging out sometime in march So we will hopefully do that :D


After that we got some time to just chill and get to know each other! And i got to know some awesome people!

Later we ate dinner.. and of course we ate American style, Pizza ;) It was pretty good but i didn't want to eat that long because the dance got going and i really like to dance! :) The only bad thing about it is... that I sweat A LOT when i dance! But oh well it's worth it!! Me and Milicia a Sirbian girl that was pretty awesome on the Dance flooR!

I wish i could've danced longer but some of the people i danced/hung out with and I decided that we wanted to try out the Swimmingpool :) It was pretty awesome!! But there we're like only guys swimming, all the girl's was sitting down.. So I saw a this mexican girl called Maria that I danced with, so I said to my norweigan friend.. I'm going to lift her up and throw her in to the pool.. And so I did ahaha! It was pretty awesome and she didn't get mad, she thought it was funny so that was good ;) We just swam together and talked! It was a lot of fun!

After swimming i went to my room and dressed again. The time was like 12.00 and the curfew was 12.30 so the time remaining I was going to hang out with Kristian, his friend from Costa Rica, and the other Swedish people + some other people! We we're trying to get up on the top floor where the girls rooms where! Anyway so i met out Kristan and Coasta Rica and some other guys, we tried to get to the girls floor but there were chaperones "protecting" the floor.. So we could not hang out with the girls... :( But Maria and her friend managed to get to our floor so we hung out with them! Still We had to be in our rooms by 12.30 so we couldn't hang that long! I took Maria's number so we could hang after the curfew but the chaperones were guarding the hallway all night to 7...! So we didn't do anything.. :( I think they protected the hallways so that no girls and boys wouldn't make out or anything.

Then we had a cultural sharing, so we were shared in to groups and it was really interesting to hear about all these different cultures! some people wore dresses from their countries like, China, Japan, South Korea! IT was really kick ass!! :D I talked about some of our traditions, like midsommar! They thiught it was funny when i told them that we dance around a maypole and sang songs! :) This is a girl from South Korea! Cool ha!


Then we listened to a speaker that had traveled for 2 years straight and he talked about all the places he had been too and the relashionships he had developed and the love he shared with the people he had got to know!! It really inspired me to wanna travel even more! I really hope I will! :)

Then we ate lunch.

We got Diplomas for beeing exchagestudents ;) haha! Maria and I :)


We did some other stuff after that like played a creative game about world economy it was pretty fun! Haha we lost though!

Time went way to fast and i wish we could have stayed at least one day longer! But we had to leave so they gave us on hour to say goodbyw to everyone and talk to everyone and get names and stuff! I will meet some of the people again.

I will homefullyl go to Des Moines some time to meet Kristian and some other people, there was some brazilian girls that i met that lives in Des Moines so that will be awesome! The swedish girls will come when I go to Kristina and My Swedish friends Sanne! :)

Anyway then it was time to leave! But I had so much fun and I met so many awesome people! I will always remember this weekend!!!!!!

Didn't do that much this weekend was way to occoied with basketball!
Senior night friday. We like honor all the seniors and this is what I wanted them to say, we got like guidelines so we knew what we we're going to write about! This is what they said in the speakers about me;
Daniel Wollin is one of Springville's foreign exchange students. His host parents are Alan and Georgeanne Cassidy-Wescott. his Parents are Ola and Eva Wollin. In addition to choir and basketball, Daniel has enjoyed being a member of the football, team. He enjoys "chillin" and talking to some other people. He'll never forget when Tri-Rivers when he walked in Alysha's high heals and when Patrick Ray rapped and Noel Nissen "beat-boxed" when the team won against Alburnett.
After leaving Springille Daniel plans to travel and ski in Canada, help children in Africa, travel to Japan then collage in Sweden.

Senior night with Kyle and Georgeanne! :)

And senior night means game night! We played the Conference leaders and we lost by 2 points!!! It sucked, and it was senior night so everyone felt really bad. We played awesome though!! Cascade High School Scored with like 3 seconds left... The JV Lost too, we did good but lost by 10. I scored 4 points in that game! That felt pretty good though! lol :D



All the Seniors were captains! :) Its usually just 2 captains ;)

Had a game Saturday too, it was 1 hour busdrive away so that sucked!! We sucked because no one else was focused they were just messing around! Pisses me off some times... We lost all games and I played like half a quarter, about 1/8 of a game about 4 minutes... So that sucked even more! I scored 2 points though so that was fun! :) After the 1 hour bus ride home, i went to a friends house, Dana, Nathaniel and I were chilling at Dana's house and Nathaniel and I played Nutball hahahah! You have like a racquetball and then you sit down and then you try to hit the other ones balls! I never really got a good hit on him but he got TWO good ones right on em.... I was like rooling on the floor in pain but kinda lauging!! haha i stopped after that lol!

At Sunday I played some guitar, Modern Warfare 2, chilling with the family and At the evning we went to the theater to watch Avatar 3D. I WAS FREAKING AWESOME! I really loved it! It kinda made wanna turn in to one of the natives! :) Wouldn't that be sweet, to just be able to be conected to everything and just be like twice the size of a human haha :P
It kinda made you think too... Made you think how bad the human raze is in general. All humans aren't like that but a lot of us is!! That really pissed me off! It was like the whits and the Native Americans again... It really is Pathetic!! But oh well... Just thought about it! It was really good and it is deffinately on my top 10 list! :)

Thats my weekend had a lot of fun... as usual! :D Looking forward to next weekend, and going to Des Moines and meet a lot of other exchange students! :) Its going to be awesome!
