I've been really busy for these last two weeks, or maybe i've just been to lazy to write haha ;) Oh well I've been hanging with friends and family most of the time dah. My family spends most of their vaication at out country house so I'm here quite a bit as well, I'm actually there now. So when I want to see friends I just take the buss back in town. Our countyhouse is just an hour away so it's real convinient for my sister and I when we want to hang with friends :)

I was home most of time last week. I hadn't met my friend Elin so we decided to meet while we were still in stockholm city. It's always fun to meet her and just talk, we have so much in common even if she is 3 years younger. She's cool.

Not last friday but the friday before that, I went to a party with my friend Emil. The girl who had the party was Hanna Wetzenstein, she went to my old school for about 9 years and during that time we had never talked to eachother, not even once. I mean we knew about eachother but not more than that. So it was really awesome to meet her again and actually talk to her haha ;) Met some other girls at that party which I haven't met in a long time, so that was really awesome. So i've hung out with them for a couple of times and we went sailing last weekend. We also went to another party a couple of days later, it was pretty chill nothing to crazy but it was fun, it was more like a BBQ party :) Went there with the girls from my old school that I met at the party at hanna. :)

I also went to the bar and took a couple of beers with two of my friends Erik and Fredrik. We met some girls there thanks to an old drunk guy haha. Long story :P He actually could've been a great wingman :P haha. Then we went to the theaters to watch the movie knight and day starring tom criuse and cameron diaz. It was really cheazy haha but it was still good. :)

The bar is a great way to just catch up with people and just talk, so I've done that quite a bit :) For example, I met my friend Max at the bar/café last week. It was awesome to meet him again and we had A LOT to talk about. I told him all about my time in he US and he told me about all the things he had done, like the military service and stuff like that. It was real cool to hear and it was great to see him again! :)

Met my best friend Sandra too, she invited me to her house for dinner. We grilled some meet on the BBQ and talked the whole evening :) It was a realy good time! Feels like I can tell her everything, which i pretty much did :P For me it's rare to have female friends like that, they're normaly just friends but I can tell Sandra most stuff! :)

Oh yeah almost forgot... Or no I didn't :P Got invited to go sailing with Hanna, Emil, Julia and Helga in Hannas boat. I had never sailed before so I was really excited!!! :D The weather sucked, like it was no sun at all and it was SUPER windy. Oh well it was really fun anyway! :) We went out from the bay friday night and sailed for an hour until we reached the island where we were gonna make camp. We spent the night there and were going to go out sailing the whole saturday but it was too windy so we didn't. We just chilled, talked, swam, played guitar and had fun, do we had fun anyway ;) We sailed on Sunday instead, and I got us up in 6.8 knots, which is a lot for a boat that ways 10 ton :) It was a great weekend and I hope we can do it again! :) I had a great time, ecspesially with Hanna :)

I've also spent a lot of time with my family as well but nothing too exciting. But it doesn't have to be super exciting when you're with the family cause your with people you love and there's nothing better than that :)

Johnossi = Awesomeness!!

Went to the Johnossi concert yesterday and it was totally AWESOME!!! I danced, screamed and yelled like a monkey, cause monkeys needs to dance and so do you! ;) Everyone who listens to Johnossi knows what I mean haha. If you wanna check the song out it's, Man Must Dance :) You really should! Johnossi has a great sound and they are famous for making awesome music with only a guitar and drums.

They released their latest album Maverick a little while ago and at first I didn't like it but when i had listen more to the album I was caught. And i got even more crazy about them after seeing them live. I mean I have always loved Johnossi but seeing them live made it even better, if possible ;) They came up with name Johnossi from their own names. The guitarist and singers name is John and the drummers name is Ossi so John + Ossi + Johnossi :D

I went there with my family, Mom, Dad, Cissi and Veronica. We also met my friend Adam an some of his friends. It was thanks to us that we met them there lol, cause we bought him the tickets for his 19th bithday. It looked like he enjoyed his present since he jumped and sang a lot ;)

Me and my sister were pretty crazy during the concert! I always get crazy during concert but I was kinda suprised by my sister cause she was pretty crazy too lol. We had a lot of fun! My sister has all the pictures on her camera and she is not with me so I will have to upload the pictures from the concert later ;) We stood in the back in the beginning but we slowly pushed our selves all the way to the front where the people who actually danced and did stuff stood :D It felt like we belonged better up front by the fun people than in the back where the lame people who didn't do anything stood ;)

ANyway I had a a blast and it was like one of the best concerts I've been too, i mean not better than Green Day or Muse but still pretty awesome! Going to their concert in November again :D Planning to stand in the moshpit!

Clubbing!!!!..... And family stuff :P

Went out to the club/bar for the first time in Sweden last wednesday and it was pretty awesome! I've also hung out with my family quite a bit :) So it's been filled with different kinds of fun! haha

One of my friends, Adam, turned 19 last wednesday so he had like a family "party" so that all of the family friends, friends and relatives could come and wish him a happy birthday. So my whole family was there, since we've knowned the family for like 12 years. It was nice and all, we ate some food, drank some beer, sang and watched the semi final between Spain and Germany. Spain won btw and won the whole world cup against the Netherlands as well ;) After that Adam and his close friends had planned to go out to the club and celabrate him. So we all went to a club not to far away from where they lived. It was a pretty sweet place, we just hung out in the beginning but it didn't take long until we crowded the dancefloor along with A LOT of other people. It was really fun, like I mean it was nothing like the School dances at Springville, Iowa. ;) lol. U dance (grind+and more) with Whoever you want... (if they want to) but ofc they want to dance with me lol jk haha xD. And as i've said earlier, I love dancing so I had a ton of fun! :D

Thursday: Went swimming with my friend Fredrik and some of his friends. It was pretty sweet, I mean it's like 30 C here and pretty humid so it felt awesome to jumo in the water ;) I hung out and ate dinner with some other friends later that day. Emil, have a pool where he lives so we swam or layed around since it's only like 3 square meters lol ;) We just hung out, grilled some food, played some guitar, swam and just had fun. It was a good day! :D

Friday was a busy day as well. Went with my family to eat dinner with some family friends that I hadn't met for alomost a year so that was nice :) Ate some good Greek food and cought up with the people. After dinner I went out to meet my friend Erik again. We had talked that week about going out to the club or the bar. So we did :) I came a little bit later so they were waiting for me at a outside bar. It was Erik and two friends of his, Elin and Klara. They were pretty awesome and funny! :D Anyway we didn't get in to any club so we did like a bar round and went arounf different bars, it was fun, but I really wanted to dance lol ;) Oh well there will be plenty of opportunities to do that in the future ;)

Didn't do that much the rest of the week, went to my countryhouse with my family and some family friends. I did some wakeskating and as usual it was super fun :) :) Went home yesterday and went to a soccer game today and saw my favorite team play :)

Stockholm! :)

Stockholm City is a beautiful place and if you ever get the chance to go there, GO!!! :) I've already been in town like 3 times since i've been home. First time was with my Dad when we went to the theater, the second time was two days ago with my sister :) We went in town to just chill, walked through the "old city" to get to a cafe' where would have an awesome view over the city :) The old city is called the old city because it's the oldest place in Stockholm City, it has a bunch of old buildings and shit, I don't really care about it but thousands of tourists seem to like it :P

After we've taken a coffee at that cafe we walked on and looked in some stores, Urban outfitters was one of them, Urban outfitters is my favorite store ever, they have awesome stuff, it hurt to go in there knowing that you can't buy anything because I'm poor haha ;) Walked through some other stores before we decided to go eat something. We tried to figure out where we wanted to go, I mean there are thousands of places to go to, because... It's Stockholm ;) We finally decided to take the Metro to the South part of the City where a restaurant called Tulleys is located :) I had a panini and so did my sister.

I need a job, so i had been asking people in the stores that we walked through if they were hireing. Not a lot of places are but Tulleys is, so I might get a job there :) They were only two people working during the summer so they could really use another one, it was the "boss" and a girl, she was pretty so I talked to her for a lil while, actually that was the only reason why I asked if I could work there ;) haha! just kidding! I know you will be reading this George :D

I hung out with my friend Fredrik and his friend Sandra yesterday to like 4. Fredrik and I had been talking about going swimming with these two girs but they didn't want to so we went by ourselves. He had a lake just by his apartment so it was relly convenient :) We didn't do that much but we chilled and it was really fun to see him again since I haven't seen him in a year! We talked about going to the movies later with some other friends but I decided to watch the Holland - Uraguay game with my Dad instead.

I went home at 4 because I had plans with another friend, Erik. We hung out at my house for a little while and just caught up and talked, I hadn't seen Erik in a year eihter so we had a lot to talk about as well. Then we decided to go in town to get something to eat and maybe check out some stores. We didn't know where to eat so we ended up eating at Tulleys again haha. Same girl wsa working and she recognized me so we talked for a while yesterday too ;)

After that both of us went home to our own places and decided to watch the game with my dad :) I hoped that Holland would win and they did 3-2.

Haven't done anything today decided to take a day off and dedicate it to pack up my 200 pounds of stuff, write a resumey, write my blog and play some guitar. Going with my family to celebrate my friends 19th birthday, our families know eachother so that's why they're going ;) Peace out!

4 first days as a new Swede!

The trip from Cedar Rapids went well! Met a lot of cool people and many Swedish people. It felt pretty good hearing my native language again. Anyway I arrived at Arlanda, Stockholm around 7-8 maybe, took my backpack and guitarr and picked up my luggage and stated walking towards the exit, constantly looking for my family. I was like SUPER excited to finally see them again, and then i opened up a door and there they were and before i could realize that it was them my two sister ran towards me and yelled my name, and then I knew i was back in Sweden. It felt soooo good to hug them again, I cried and so did they. Dame a lot of crying lately, starting to become a softy haha.

Had a lot to catch up so we were just talking the whole day, I mostly wanted to go to sleep cause i'd been up for almost 35 hours straight. Anyway we went to a restuarant by the sea and ate some paninis and ordered a beer! :D Haha first time my drinking here in Sweden would be leagal! The part of Sweden that i had missed the most got to have been the Stockholm archipelago, it is soooo beautiful, I'm going to write a blogpost and show pictures tmrw. Anyhow, my sister was going to a festival with some friends that day at 3 pm so we had to drop her off¨, she didnät feel like going cause she wanted to be with her brother :) Oh well i told her to have fun, but not to fun, lol.
Next on my list was... ZzZZZZzzZzzZzzZZZ.... yupp sleeep! I slept in the car on the way home and just minutes after we got home I threw myself in the bed and fell asleep in seconds! Felt SOOO good!

The same way as George made my one of my favorite meals for my last meal, my mom made my absolute favorite meal for my first meal, Fish soup!!!!!! Bet you're luaghing and puking now George and Kyle ;) haha! I was sooo good and made me feel like I was in Sweden again.

The next day was a eventfull day :) just the way I like it, but most of u already know that. Started out at my grandparents that I've missed SOOO much!!! Once again I got hugs from people I love and it felt warmthening inside! :) She had made me her home made Swedish meatballs that I haven't had in a long time and it was like it was super good, like and orgasm in your mouth. ;) lol. Once again we talked and talked and talked about what i've done and what they've done. They were really happy to see me again, they've been waiting and counting down for this day for a long time.

I was there for about 2 hours and then I had plans with one of my best friends, Sandra. She had also been gone for a year but not as an exchange student, she had been an English teacher in China! So we had A LOT to talk about, we surprised eachother all the time about stuff that we've done and both of us wanted to be the one that had done the craziest thing haha no just kidding but we have both done some cool stuff!! :) Like donkey basketball for example haha!! We had a coffee out on her portch in the 25 deegre sunny weather, Celcius ofc! ;) She were going to her country house for 2 weeks so I won't see her in a while but we will party it up on the clubs and bars when she get back ;)

When i got back home i wrote a blogpost about going home and leaving America, it was hard! But it wouldn't have been hard if the year wasn't awesome! Anyway I made plans with my Dad, I would've made plans with my mom as well but she had to do some stuff that she had to do at our countryhouse! Oh well... So my dad and I went out to eat at a Sushi restuarant and ate some... well yeah sushi and it was super good, I also had some Sake :) And then we went to see the new Robin Hood movie in the Theaters. GERAT movie!!! And that was it for that day, i really good day if you ask me!:)

I didn't do that whole lot on thursday, sat at home just chilled and played guitarr to 4 pm. It was nice and relaxing. I had been talking to my friend Molly that day and she asked if I wanted to meet in town and take a coffee or something, and so we did. It was nice, she ahd been an exchangestudent in Seattle, Washington that year so we had a lot to talk about too! IT was nice, got to meet her friend Rebecca as well. They are pretty awesome!

Then I met up with my dad at home, so we could drive out to our countryhouse and meet my mom there :) I've missed it and it's soooo beautiful, i went for a run later that night and after that went for the first swim of the year in the Baltic Sea. It was kinda cold actually but it felt good!

Hmm just woke up 2 hours ago and the clock is about 12.54 pm here so I have the whole day to do stuff, I'm probably gonna do some wakeskating ;) I'll put pivtures up later showing my Countryhouse and the nature and all this awesome stuff :) <3

It's Goodbye, for now!

I'm now writing from Sweden for the first time in a long time, or actually ever cause I didn't have this blog until I was in America.

I had two amazing last days in America with my family and I miss them SOOO much, can't believe that they're 10 hours away! :( Oh well i flew tuesday so I had to prepare everything and pack on monday and so i did... kinda lol. I was scrapbooking for hours that day so I would have it finished for Georgeanne and Kyle cause that was my gift to them, I got it done and gave it to them, Georgeanne cried soo much when i handed it to her and even more when she saw what I wrote in it :'( Anyway after the scrapbooking I put some stuff in Boxes so I could ship them with the mail, so we went in to town and sent it away, i weighed about 50 kg and it was really expensive, about $ 370 haha! Luckely... my dad will pay for that ;)

Then we went to do some shopping because I was going to buy some gifts to my family, for my parents; two Iowa wines and a book, Letters to my dad or something, by Barack , to my baby sister Cecilia; A pair of yellow converse, and to my Big sister Veronica; a beautiful dress. :)

When we got home i packed a little and sat in my room and remembered that I'm leaving all of this in one day, the house, all the animals, my friends and mostly my family. I got sad but I don't like to be sad so I asked Georeanne if she wanted to take a last ride with me and she did so we went riding for an hour or two :) it was nice! Then time for food, Georgeanne had asked me earlier that week what I wanted to eat for my "last supper". I told her that i wanted Parmesan Chicken, Mmmmmm so good! :)

By that time the clock was about 11 pm so pretty late and I hadn't even pulled my bags out of the closet haha. And I had also promised Tanner, Spencer and Jordan that they could come over for like 30 min that night because they had some stuff they wanted to give. So they came over and and we hung out for like an hour and messed around lol I love them they're so awesome and funny to hang out with! And I miss them! anyway after they left I had lots of packing to do and George wasn't to happy with me having them over 30 min longer, but she got over it because... we love eachother and I gave the scrapbook and gave it to her :) I got done with the packing at around 4 am in the morning, that means that I had 1 hour to sleep haha. Oh well! lol

Kyle gave me a mix CD to me in the morning, he put sonds on there that reminded him of our time together and the song that struck me the most was Good Riddance (time of your life). He had also written on the cover front and back about his love for me and how much he's going to miss me and... and that I am his brother, not by nature, by heart and that means more to me than anything. I love you Kyle and you will always be in my heart.

Georgeanne gave me a sack of stuff in it, a bunch of my favorite candy, a t-shirt, and what ment the most to me, an Irish medalion the symbolizes friendship, loyalty and love. I love it and I will always wear it and it will always remind me of you, and I will always love you, you are the coolest and you will always be in my heart.

Woke up early as shit, 5 am!!! Went to the airport at six! I was super sad at this point and didn't feel like leaving yet even though i really missed my family and was excited the see them. Came there and checked myself and my luggage. Some of my friends had come to say a last goodbye :( Nathaniel, Dana, Sydney, Collin, Katie, Amanda, Jessy, Andy, Spencer and Tanner :( I'm going to miss them SOOO much and i really hope that we all stay in conctact! Lol we joked around and made a pyramid and some stuuf in the middle of the airport haha it was fun :) Then I hugged everyone goodbye :'( But I assured them all that i'll be back soon to see them. Kyle, georgeanne and I went through security and we all walked up to the gate all sad. Then realizing that I only had 5 min before bording...! :( So we just hugged for 5 min and they started to cry... and so did i. We cried so loud that people all around the other gates thought that someone had died or something. But I had to leave and they were calling on me telling me that I have to get on the plain. So I said a last goodbye, turned around still crying and walked towards my flight, then stopped, turned around and said I love you, those were my last words to them. Then sat down the airplain and couldn't stop crying. :(

And that's it for now I guess, but I'll be back for sure hopefully in November! Sitting at home in Sweden thinking about America. I have two families now and I always will, I have a heart big enough for both :) And i love them both
